| Art in Romney
Marsh, Brookland Church Oct 2002 ‘Art in Romney Marsh’ was a group exhibition of 22 artists in 11 medieval churches in Romney Marsh. Rebecca’s work was in Brookland church and explored the theme of relics – that which is left after loss or decay. The work referred to remnants left behind by previous occupants of the site of the church- the Augustinian monks discarded a tunic and scapula. The remnants of saints in the form of relics, wrapped in gauze, with parchment like skin and remnants of clothing. |
